![]() You will be able to see Sullivan South High School-it's off Moreland Drive. That is where I grew up, off Moreland Drive. If you are looking for other places to see where lots of people live outside the city limits try the Fall Branch area ( Sullivan Gardens Parkway, Highway 93) and Rock Springs area off Moreland Drive. (Of course, there are alternate "interstate" routes that will take you to these places, but I thought I would take you on the senic route.lol). In Gray go past McDonalds.keep going over the bridge and through the red light.you will see the "new" Gray Fossil Site Museum on the left. Lots of people love living in Gray because of it's central location to Johnson City and Kingsport. If you turn off the 2 lane (Hwy 36) RIGHT onto highway 75 at the intersection, this will take you to Gray. ![]() If you turn off the 2 lane (Hwy 36) LEFT onto Highway 75 (at red light intersection -you will see a big gas station in front of you) this 2 lane road (Hwy 75) will take you all the way to the Tri-Cities regional Airport and Northeast State Technical Community College. This will take you all the way through Boones Creek to Johnson City if you stay on it long enough. Keep going and you will drive onto Hwy 36 (Old Johnson City Highway 2 lane). Lots of people live in Colonial Heights and there are many fast food restaurants as well as other restaurants there. If you drive up Fort Henry Drive the other way.NOT the direction of the mall and DB High School you will follow it all the way through Colonial Heights (past Wal Mart, over the bridge). You are asking about the LESS touristy places to see ? Not all of these are in the city limits but they are good places to see, if you are considering living here.
